Gadis 14 Tahun Masih Mengharapkan Jantung Yang Sesuai

Mechanical Heart Girl Still Waiting For A Suitable Donor

Sin Chew Daily reported that mechanical heart recipient Tee Hui Yi had not given up hope of having “a new, compatible heart” within a year.

“I will continue to be strong but I hope everyone will help me find a donor match. This mechanical heart can only operate for two years and now, I only have one more year to wait,” said the 14-year-old girl from Batu Pahat.

On Sept 29 last year, she underwent an operation to attach a 9.8kg device to her heart. The mechanical heart implant or Thoratec Paracorporeal Ventricular Assist Device supports her while she waits for a donor.
