Hari Raya Open House – Rumah Terbuka Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2012

I am compiling a list of 2012 Hari Raya Aidilfitri Open Houses. If you have came across any other source you can leave me a comment.

You can eat as much as you can, if you take a lot of foods and wasted it, you better stay in country where people died of hunger everyday then you will know how to value and appreciate the important of foods. Believe me, one day the foods will  make you pay for what you have done.

If you “ta pau”, ” packed” or “bungkus” foods back at the beginning or middle of open house, it show your lowest morale standard. No  No  No Smile If you only “ta pau”, ” packed” or “bungkus” the left over foods AT THE END OF FUNCTION it show your higher morale of standard as you help prevent food wasted. Yes Yes Yes

BN Used Our Money To Spam

I received an SMS from sender 63365 on my Celcom mobile phone this afternoon with this message “Pakatan’s weakness in economic matter wld show immediately & in serious manner if they ever were to capture power. There wld be choas as they find their bearings, if at all – B. Kuppusamy, The Star 24 Nov

As I Google who is this B. Kuppusamy, it appeared to be The Star’s reporter (that may be pro BN government) Ok.. now I began to see the real picture behind this SMS.

Then another Google search confirmed to me that Celcom is a GLC (Government-Linked Company) so everything became a big picture from these pieces of puzzle.

To make it straight to the point, BN goverment is using the GLC Telco’s SMS service to blast out a huge “spam” to Celcom subscribers. (It maybe more to come as the election day grew nearer)

Yes it appeared to be free on your mobile as you are not charge and many people will consider “Tak apalah, what I don’t like I just erase” but have you really sit down a while and ask “Is this SMS really free?” Well… if you are not stupid or not wise enough, kids also knew that there is no such thing as free lunch.

I am not an Economist nor a Great Mathematician but I still can do simple calculation just to show you that I am not a dumb and an idiot. Source that I have googled mentioned that Maxis, Celcom, DiGi will reach 18.5 million, 15.4 million, and 11.4 million, respectively in 2014.

Since now is at year 2011, let assume that Celcom have 10 million active subscribers. Don’t tell me that all 10,000,000 get the same SMS today, but I believed many will be receiving it in days to come. If not the same message, you might received another.

Let do the Math

Assume that only 1,000,000 (1 million) out of 10 million have received it

(with 1 cent as the cost of sending out) but I believed not even one stupid Telco company will do this Smile

1,000,000 x 1 cents = 1,000,000 cents [RM 1 = 100 cents]

1,000,000 cents / 100 cents = RM 10,000 => A sum that the Telco company easily earn in a day!

Who money is that? => Tax payers money! Who is tax payers? It is Me & YOU la! Who else?

Believe me, to cover up of how the money being use, soon you will read from the news that Celcom say that they do it for free. Is this true? I guess not. Celcom is in a BUSINESS and not a CHARITY organisation. In most business everyone is concern of profits rather than losses.

Here I share with you my own experiences, many time I have been late in paying the Celcom bill and guess what Celcom do? First they SMS me many time in the following days, then follow by automatic voice remainder system each morning. Guess how much my bill is? It is just around RM 60 – RM 80! And they chase you like mad dog! Don’t tell me such a company will do thing for free? NO WAY!

So you can see that, too desperately getting people to support them, the BN government is indeed using YOUR own money unwisely for the unnecessarily election campaign. Why unnecessarily?

The news already appeared in The Star and it might have been read by The Star readers. The readers are the one who used their own money to buy the newspaper (not tax payers money) or there is some smart fellow like me read The Stars for free at coffee shop? Smile

How can be the stupid government be sure that the SMS have reached the person who have not read The Star? How about those have read it received it again? Isn’t this waste of money?

After receiving this SMS, this is what I will going to do. I will think twice whether to vote for BN or Pakatan. If I vote for BN, I am actually supporting them to waste public funds. How about vote for Pakatan so that can teach them (BN) a lesson that they should use public funds properly?

Let see… I have 3 mobile phones with me now. If I continue to get these SMSs all over the phones these few days, Pakatan will surely get my vote. Trust me! This is the clear message I gave to BN.

Taking bad of the Pakatan does not mean that BN is good in everything either. So let the voters decide on their own who they are going to vote.

Majlis Rumah Terbuka Tahun Baru Cina 1Malaysia 2011

State MCA chairman Senator Datuk Dr Yeow Chai Thiam said the event, to be held for the first time at night, is jointly organised by the state government, MCA, Gerakan, Negeri Sembilan Chinese Clan Association and the Negeri Sembilan Chinese Chamber of Commerce. The event will also feature cultural performances such as the 1Malaysia dance, songs, Chinese classical music, Chinese drums and lion and dragon dance. Other activities include a lucky draw with hampers and 10 bicycles up for grabs.

I brought my mum for the open house event. This is the 1st time she have attended open house but she saw the ugly site of it. We stand there queing for the foods since 7:30PM but up to 8:30PM we are still not allow to have the foods as the VIP have not arrived.

By then most of the people there have lost patience and they started to grab the foods like “Hungry Ghost”, even the Rela members have lost control of the situation. When my mum saw that situation, she said, “If this is so called 1 Malaysia open house, next year I won’t come again!”

And when the VIP came, they and their “cronies’ sat comfortably in the hall and all the foods was served to them. They have forgotten the “Rakyat” queing outside (some pushing each other) for the foods.

When they (Rakyat) have their foods, they need to sit by the roadside, staircase, or even standing to eat it.

Is this called 1 Malaysia spirit? People First; Performance Now (Rakyat Didahulukan, Pencapaian Diutamakan) when the VIPs and their “cronies” enjoying the foods comfortably inside the hall while the “Rakyat Dikastakan”

They should joined the “Rakyat” for the foods then they will realise what  was happening there and how to improve it in next open house event.

If this is the way they want to win public heart in the next general election, I believed that those not happy with the way how the open house was organised will definitely not vote for them.

It won’t be a surprise if MCA (or MP from BN) cannot win this Parlimentary seat as the “Rakyat” can see properly based on this simple open house event. If their MP won, their cronies will be benefited. The “Rakyat” will be “left out”.

When we left, I saw there are people who “Ta Pau” (packed) foods back while there are people who don’t have foods. It time for organiser to look at this matter. No one is allow to leave the open house with “Ta Pau” foods. All foods need to be ate there. If Malaysia government want to promote open houses to tourists and foreigner… packed foods back home & wasted foods are really an ugly sight! What a shame.

I have attended a few open houses before:-

  1. Pakatan Rakyat 2008 Hari Raya Aidilfitri Open House (Kampung Baru) – larger space (open field) a bit muddy due to drizzling, averagely organised, some  MPs willingly have photo session with the member of public, not much foods, the “Rakyat” behave properly and have discipline.
  2. Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak & Datin Paduka Seri Rosmah Mansor Hari Raya Aidilfitri  2010 Open House – well organised and the whole events went on smoothly. More than enough foods, bigger space and the “Rakyat” behave properly and have discipline.
  3. Tun Dr. Mahathir & Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2010 Open House – well organised and the whole events went on smoothly. More than enough foods and the “Rakyat” behave properly and have discipline. Everyone have the chance to have photo session with the Tun(s)
  4. MIC Deepavali 2010 Open House (PWTC) – well organised and the whole events went on smoothly. More than enough foods and the “Rakyat” behave properly and have discipline. Fair enough to everybody, those who came earlier have the better sit on the provided tables. The ugly sight is – there are people wasting foods. They took more than  enough foods they can eat and dump it later on the table like rubbish.
  5. MIC Deepavali 2010 Open House (Putrajaya) – well organised and the whole events went on smoothly. More than enough foods and the “Rakyat” behave properly and have discipline. Fair enough to everybody, those who came earlier have the better sit on the provided tables.
  6. Negeri Sembilan Chinese New Year 1 Malaysia 2011 Open House is the “worse” I can see. Even open house by Pakatan Rakyat (2008) much better if compare with this one.
