This is a great book detailing Amway’s beginnings and expansion to other markets. I would really recommend this book to Amway members and critics alike to really understand the business.

When I saw this business in 1979 , if they had a gun they wouldn’t have gotten 50 bucks out me. It was the best 50 bucks I’d ever spent. It is not about products it is the people and the plan . I got so much from the association, the encouragement. Quite honestly, the people that I am (still today) associated with have done way more than either of my parents had ever done for me. No wonder I gravitated towards this company. I still love Amway for the memories . My grown children have said they remember the times we went on Amway week ends as the best times of their lives. I know there are people who paid the moeny to make a quick buck and got out and talk negative, but I believe they never even knew what they were in. To anybody that have bad ideas about Amway, let me ask them: Where is the money in other business or company? In bottom?

In Microsoft, Wal-Mart, Sears, Subway or whatever the bottom received all the money? Uuhhmmm, I think no. So maybe Bill Gates is a Diamond, Steve Job too and CEO of major companies they are.

I want to remind those people, that Amway IS A BUSINESS. And as ALL business in the world, THE FIRST people in the business, the creator, the “father” received the major money. It isn’t unfair?

The Diamonds, in Amway, are the people that have more than five years in business, other more. And they had to work hard to reach that level. Diamonds = CEO of other companies, my friends. The difference is that if you work hard too in Amway, you can reach that level, I mean, you can be Diamond=CEO. In what other company you can do it?. If you are not a familiar of “big boss” you never reach that level. Maybe if you have a good title, you can.

At same time, and as ALL business in the world you can fail or you can have sucess. It depend on YOU. I know that is a hard kick to your ego, to recognize that YOU fail, so a safe way is to fault the company or business sytem. But my friends, WAKE UP and assume your responsabilty, we are not a children now. It is wise man to recognize the fault and take care of them and change.

Other point, “Is that when you are in Amway you lost ton of money in tapes, books, CD, etc?”, Let me tell you, “the knowledgement is expensive” Yes, do you go to High School, you don’t pay anything? If you decided to do business course, you don’t pay anything? Well my friends, if you want to KNOW the Amway business, you have to pay too. In business, that is the investement part, don’t you have heard of that? By the way, in Amway that is OPTIONAL.

Like any other reviewer said don’t loose time “looking for the five legs to cat”, study the business, and if you don’t like it or don’t see any opportunity to change your life, or to addition money in your bank account legally to life well, to freedom. Go away, and stay in your “prision of 9 to 5 job”, and don’t stop people who want to “PRISION BREAK” escape from it.

First of all, the book and Amway does change a lot of peoples life. If we only refer to monetary value, we are refering to something that does not lasts, but if we are refering to friendship, lifestyle, time with family, spritual value and principles then being in Amway with the system is the best that one could offer.

As such to those who oppose Amway, I really would like them to think, although those people may be a millionaire (one person does say this), but anyway if you did follow the system fully then there should be not an issues as all in obtaining the time and money. Remember as the review say, there is no scarsity, there is only abundance, and the person from Texas is refering as if the world resource is scarse.

Furthermore, if this person never been in Amway fully and never make a decision to build the business then, the person does not have any CREDIBILITY AT ALL to talk about Amway although all he could come out with lengthty statistics on this (by the way is he a millionare or a statistic professor :<).

Really the book does explain if we want to have the correct INFORMATION please see the CORRECT people. In this sense if we want to know about AMWAY, meet Rich De Vos, or any of the Crown Ambassador. Like wise you don’t ask your friend about the condition of your tooth (you ask a dentist) or the condition of your brain (you ask a neurologist), so really I personnaly don’t understand some STUPID people who keeps on asking the wrong people.

Lastly, the book talks about how some people start from a humble begining and went on to be somebody. For every succesful men there is an improvement and change, and these is what human is learning and improving. Start by being humble and learn the system, there is no room for ARROGANT people in this world. We have enough of those and we don’t need them.

Please DO GET THE INFORMATION FROM THE CORRECT PEOPLE. Just remember this simple example : It is strange if a ask a stranger 100 miles away from your house about your son’s heart condition. IT DOES.

Amway, as a company is much criticized. Every second person’s view your take would be negative, not only that they would even to go an extent of warning you not to burn your fingers in the hot soup that they have already experienced.

And yes, by the way, these people know everything about the company, let it be the MLM, or the networking, or even those chain and pyramid schemes. You ask them, they know everything! But there is nothing wrong in this, because 90% of the world has got the same view for whatever the gentlemen next door is doing. It is not good and the other guy is a fool.

What I found uplifting in this book is that it has not only given the historical background of this grand company but also talked about the entrepreneurs who revolutionized the networking industry – Rich DeVos and Jay Van Andel.

The book moves from the history of these two successful entrepreneurs to setting up of the baby company with a dynamic new concept, the concept that time known as Illegal Pyramid Scheme, now An Industry in Itself. Then the story moves on to the lives of some of the successful achievers and the problems faced during the early days. It also captures the motto and missions of the company along with the code of ethics they follow in and around the organization.

I am a distributor with no bank balance, and I have not attained any successful level in this organization, but belief alone is what is dragging me and helping me believe in the organization. People are negative by nature by default. All I would say is that if you can’t motivate a person – For God sake don’t de-motivate either. This book gives you the inside story of a company starting from scratch and going to billions of dollars year after year.

The credentials of the company can make a book all together. A company that has generated maximum number of wealthy people around the world, Not by paying them salary and incentives but by teaching them a model and system, that can help them diversify their income potential. A model, which can teach an individual how to generate world’s most powerful income plan – “Residual / Passive / Royalty Income”.

All I am asking here to an individual is to believe in the system, plan, ethics, morale, cash flow, diversification, planning, self-development, teaching, learning, respecting, edification, dreams, motto, goals, dedications, depth in thought, a broader look over the picture, an open mind, an intellectual approach, etc etc etc. because this is all this company and this book in particular will teach.

If you do not want to join the company, Don’t join – but make sure you do it for the right reasons. Take an intellectual approach – if someone talks about this ask him to show you the business plan, scrutinize him and his business models by reading some books, ask for some tapes from successful people that can give you an idea the kind of people who are associated with the business you are scrutinizing, attend some meetings and functions. Then after an educated approach if you are not interested then say the truth, “I have checked the business, it is good and the company is great. The kind of income potential it has is mammoth and the kind of people associated are acceptable by you, but for some personal reasons / or may be because of your lack of dreaming / or may be because you are not prepared to go for it right now / or may be because you do not want to get associated with this kind of business, no matter what income potential or growth prospects it contains – you right now – Are Not Interested In Joining The Team”. When you say that you are saying the truth from your heart, and that is what an intellectual means.

But unfortunately 90% of us have got the other view – “Oh, Amway – I know about it. This thing doesn’t work. The guy next door did it and failed, the products are costly. I hate reading or don’t give me books I know what they talk about. Tapes, oh no, I know what that guy will say.” Well, if you want to encircle yourself with such kind of thoughts then go ahead. But before going a step ahead remember the following qualities of successful people:

Every successful person is a Leader

Leaders are Readers
Leaders are listeners
Leaders respect what the other is saying
Leaders believe in your model if it is proven; however they might not join you for some personal reasons.

And these are the general qualities of successful people, apply them in every aspect of your life, and make a wise decision.

Wisdom is knowledge, Applied.

This Book is the wisest decision you can make to find out anything and everything about Amway.

This is in response to the LONG essay, from the reader in Plano, Texas. If that person had spent the energy toward building their business instead of searching for all the negative they could find, they’d be making quite a nice income right now!!

Not everyone has what it takes to be successful, only the ones with perseverance and the ability to see beyond the negativity and the struggles! The business works, you just have to work it! Nothing comes for free in this world, try starting your own franchise, you’ll discover the investment to be an IBO is nothing compared to what it would cost to start a McDonald’s, for example. PLus, it is only part time work, not total life ownership by the regular business!

People like to make jokes about Amway and those people who represent this very huge marketing company. Let’s be positive. For one thing, Amway is the most successful company at what they do. For another thing, they are instrumental in moving products and also helping people understand the concepts of business, marketing and also the value of wealth. Yes Amway aligns itself with very innovative salespersons who may also sell tools, have seminars, forums, conventions and encourage their people to read motivational literature espousing the values of wealth and family and conservative ethics. So what. This book you are considering reading is the story of the company that started this entire multilevel marketing revolution. It is my advice that you read this publication so you can have something to compare to whatever else you shall be doing As a student if mind control, this is the start you have been waiting for.
