I have searched the internet to look for photography contests and I have found this. Maybe I should enter it to gather some experience and at the same time to brush up my photography skill just to see if I can earn a living using my camera. Can I? Never try never know right?

I found out that one of the main problem for me and the Canon SLR camera is that up to this moment I still have not finish reading the operation manual and most of the time I am learning on trial and error.

I guess by ‘forcing’ myself to enter some competitions or contests then only I will be serious of the outcome or final result of the pictures.

FRIM Natural Heritage Site Photography Competition 2011

FRIM is organizing a photography contest from Jan 1 2011 to 28 Feb 2011. Take your best shots at FRIM (Kepong) during this time and submit by Feb 28, 2011.

The contest is divided into three categories with the prizes as listed below:

A – Open Category

PRIZES

First Prize: RM3,000
Second Prize: RM1,000
Third Prize: RM500
5 X Consolation Prize: RM200

B – Wedding Photo Category

PRIZES

First Prize: RM2,000
Second Prize: RM750
Third Prize: RM500
5 X Consolation Prize: RM200

C – Student Category

PRIZES

First Prize: RM1,500
Second Prize: RM500
Third Prize: RM250
5 X Consolation Prize: RM100
