Termination Of Celcom Broadband

After lunch I was at Celcom Jalan Pahang Barat to terminate the service of it broadband. No point to continue to pay RM 98 when Digi & Maxis can give me the better service with much cheaper rate. RM 88 for Digi and RM 48 for Maxis Broadband. Will I subscribe back Celcom Broadband? Maybe… if it service getting better and much cheaper.

So these telco companies really need to improve their service and offer cheaper rate rather than wasting monies in fighting for advertising space on billboard along major roads and highways. What the point to have all the billboard ads at places where people can see, yet their services getting from bad to worse?

Take P1 Wimax for example, it can’t even have access in the place I stayed now. What a shame!

  2. so im using celcome broadband with no contract. it means u wont pay anything if u didn’t use it.but all u hv to do is call the celcom ppl and ask them to stop your subscription for a while. yeah …since the connection suck, i call them to stop it for a while, i mean for the next month… i’m not thinking to terminate it yet. but then the customer service told me that it’s only termination that can be done. i cannot stop using it for a while. so hey!! whats noncontract nway.. that noncontract thing is valid after a year!! btw i hv to pay RM150 as a penalty for terminating the service and the modem also has to be returned to them. the thing is, the promoter that sell this crap lie to me. she did mention that its noncontract,and i can juz call the customer service line if i’m not going to use it for the next month. and also i hate it when i didn’t fully red the terms and condition for that lil’crap. well i actually read, but it didn’t mention bout that penalty thing and noncontract thing after a year. haioo…

  3. As far as I knew, most Telecommunication Companies in Malaysia are more into profit than provide good services. You still need to pay even if you did not use it. Termination is the best choice if you don’t like the service. There is no such thing, you called them and they will never charge you.

    No contract does not mean you don’t have to pay them if you did not use it. No contract mean you are free to terminate them and choose another that you think can give you the service. Those with contract, can only be terminated after 1 year but they will still charge you even you don’t use it. Of course they have the right to take back the modem and the penalty fee as stated in the contract.

    Though Celcom have lousy service in certain area on broadband service I still satisfied with their mobile services as I have stick with them for past 20 years!
