I spotted the back T-shirt of an announcer (MC) of the events quite attractive, I asked him to stand there for me to take this photo. Ha! Ha! First he thought that I want him to the take picture of me.

After lunch this afternoon, I headed to Putrajaya for the 1st time. This place have been there for years during my stay in Kuala Lumpur (KL) but why today only I go there? Well… since today is Sunday, at the same time that  I am in KL and quite free so I decided to go there to look around.

Another reason is that I have came to know that there is a dragon boat festival going on today from local newspaper and it is the final day of the competitions.  I have seen dragon boat festival in movies and TV but never in my life I have seen it performed live. Now I have the chance to witness it with my own eyes, why do I need to let go this golden opportunity? I guessed this event will be an experience that I will remember for many years to come. At least, in the chapter of my life I can say, “I have been there, I have saw it live!”

Yet, finally, the  main strongest reason I am here is I want to capture the event in pictures and video clips it for my blogs.  If not because of these blogs, I may don’t even bother to be here. It is much more better sleeping at home.

1ST PUTRAJAYA INTERNATIONAL DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL 2009

OUTLINE PROGRAM

As this the 1st time I am in Putrajaya, I drove carefully and checked at every signboard so that I did not get lost. I reached Putrajaya around 12:45PM but where is the place for the dragon boat festival? It seem like all dry lands left right, where is the lake?

As I am looking around for the lakeside I saw the banners on the roadside stated “Precinct 6” and now where the heck is Precinct 6? Luckily the sign board along the road do help me a lot or else where am I going?

I remembered I passed by a very unique landmark and I said “Wow! That the only one like this in Putrajaya! I will sure come back afterward for the photos.”  After some distances, at last I reached the festival site! It is 1:00PM that moment. After parking the car at an open car park, here I am finally standing in front of the lake.
