As I checked on the Magnum4D website I came to know that the accumulated 1st Prize Jackpot is more than RM16 Million today. The biggest ever since it was launched on 23rd September, 2009

So I don’t want to miss out the bigger pie. I want my share too! Around 4:20PM, I went to Magnum 4D outlet at Taman Melawati to place in a bet for 6 pair of numbers which total up RM 12 + RM 6 of Mbox game for 6 numbers. All together total up RM 18 (RM 12 + RM 6) of investment. Hopefully it can make me a Millionaire!

You might said, “Stop dreaming la! You think you can win so easy ah? If so easy, this world no poor people liow!” Of course I knew it is not easy. This fact I am long time knew already. No need for you to tell me. Then you will said why I go and bet if cannot win? My answer is simple. If I don’t invest even RM 1 for the game then how I know I don’t have luck?

When I checked on the Magnum4D web site again, the accumulated Jackpot have reached RM 17 Million ++ This mean that no one in Malaysia is lucky enough to take on the prize yet for tonight.

If I did not win then my wishes need to be put on hold and wait. Hmmm.. I noticed that the Jackpot 2 have been won…. !! Who is this lucky person? Could it be me? I quickly checked through the tickets I have bought but only to find out the Jackpot 2 Prize is NOT WON BY ME ! So disappointed!!

But the good news is a pair of my number hit the special prize which earn me RM 68! Wow! Not bad at all. I remembered that the last time I earned money from Magnum draw was on 15/06/2008 for just only RM 9.00 through Mbox game while most of the time….. Magnum taken the money from my wallet.

If I bought this number individually I might beg in RM 200 for special prize but since I pair it off for Jackpot draw, it is only qualified RM 68 for me. (According to it Jackpot draw payout) Well… what to do? RM 68 still better than nothing at all, right? Ha! Ha!

Sorry! I need to black out the remaining numbers (Who know? This might be the Millionaire numbers for me!) Finally, the final conclusion is I have made a profit of RM 50 (RM68 – RM18)

I only slept 3 1/2 hours today. Wake at 6:30Am. Quite excited about this event. As I traveled along Jalan Kuching, I was caught in huge traffic jams. While crawling bumper to bumper I began to think, “Why people choose this kind of life?” Wake up early in the morning every week days (From Monday to Friday… Saturday for some) just to go to work. Caught in the traffic jam while on the way to office and back home in the evening. As I looked at some of these drivers on the cars…. they don’t show any concern. Maybe they have used to it. I believed some of them have traveled the same route for the past 1 year…. 3 years…. 5 years or maybe more than 10 years. I must say that I really admire and salute them for having this kind of energy!

As for me, caught in the traffic jam is a night mare. Just because of this reason, I have decided not to join them since 1989. I have chosen Amway as my business just because I don’t want to wake up early in the morning … for the sake of working and helping other to achieve their dreams. This morning I have no choice but to join them to be another idiot on the road crawling slowly just because I need to be at Amway New HQ, Jalan 223, Petaling Jaya by 8:30AM to witness the official launching of RM 100 Million Amway New Headquarter.

Supper At Bangi Kopitiam

Tonight I am having my supper at Bangi Kopitiam, Wangsa Maju. Before this I used to eat at the nearby mamak restaurant. Recently the mamak restaurant have been closed due to unprofitable business, I have no other place that allow me reading various “free” newspaper. The owner of the mamak restaurant used to reserve unsold newspaper (eg. New Straits Time, Kosmo, Harian Metro, Utusan Malaysia, Sinaran & The Stars) for me to read. If I encountered interesting articles on the newspaper, I will used my Canon A470 digital camera to snap it down. But now…. the mamak restaurant have been closed and my Canon A470’s lenses are distorted…. no more “free reading” and no more picture snapping.

But thanks goodness… I still have my Blackberry phone! That mean I still can snap the articles I liked to keep.

Attending Indian Friend (Smita)’s Wedding

The Wedding Invitation Card Given To Me Earlier

Using this location map, I reached there around 10:00 AM. If I am not mistaken, this is the 2nd time in my life I have attended the Indian’s Marriage Ceremony. The wedding ceremony have started with some praying by the members of family. I did not see the bride yet so I walked around to snap some pictures.

As I was taken the pictures, I have noticed that some white lines appeared in my photo. Oh no! The worse thing have came again! I am very familiar about these kind of images as I have experienced it twice before! The 1st time is on my Canon PowerShot A460 camera. When I sent in to Canon Servicing centre, the staff told me that the lenses have been distorted and need RM 210 to get it repair.

She have recommended me to get a new Canon PowerShot A470 instead of repairing it as it is not worth to do so. So with her advice I took up the new camera for less than RM 400 (special offer price to me – Market price RM 500 ++ ) Lucky me, just days before it out of warranty period, the lenses on this new camera are having the same problem and I have it replaced free of charge by Canon. Damn it! Don’t tell me that now the same problem happened again? For the worse now… it have been out of warranty.

I took some pictures without zooming and the white lines getting worse. I then took some other pictures with lenses zooming. It seem OK at the beginning but it does not seem to get better. Below are the last 3 pictures I have taken before it is totally out.

These are the pictures taken by my Blackberry phone.

When I walked out of the hall, I try to take some video shooting just to see how bad the distorted lenses will be. It seem that the video images still sharp and OK. Maybe I can still use it to take video clips during Amway New HQ open ceremony on Friday 22nd January, 2010. And for the pictures, I guess I need to depend on my Blackberry phone for that. Hope it is OK!

Partial Sun Eclipse

After meal around 2:50PM, I went to a mini market beside the mamak restaurant to buy a bottle of black Chinese Writing Fluid and a plastic bowl. I drove up to Melawati hill as I first thought this is a perfect location to view the partial sun eclipse [also known as the annular solar eclipse] between 3pm and 5.45pm.

I took out the plastic bowl I have bought. I position it on the back of my car. Then I pour in the black Chinese ink, added some water and I look at it through the bowl of black ink.

I have noticed that large grey cloud have been moving toward the sun and covered it. It seem like there is a kind of “force” attracting the cloud there. I managed to snap this picture just before the soft cooling wind began to blow. This place not may be a good place to view the eclipse.

This might not the good tools to use to view the eclipse as I noticed that each time the soft wind blew, it will affect the calm ink on the bowl and the movement made it difficult to view. Then why I am using this method? Who teach me?

Starbucks 11th Anniversary 2010 Planner – NLA

I have been calling AEON AU2 Setia Wangsa Starbucks to check if the Starbucks 11th Anniversary 2010 Dairy Planner still available. And guess what answer I have? The staff told me that the diary no longer available (NLA) through out entire Klang Valley. I have tried to call up Bangsar Starbucks store but fax machine answering and I have called Seremban 2 Starbucks as well. It is the same…. Fax machine! And I gave up. No point for me to call the stores one by one as I believed most store have been out of stock.

That mean all the 11 wishes on the card I have collected so far are useless by now. It really disappointed and discouraging. It does not mean that I can’t live without this planner but just not in the good mood because I have spent more that RM 100 plus on Starbucks store and at the end of the day I get nothing. Consider it my bad luck day. What to do? Sit there crying meh? This just a gift and it will not be the end of world right? What the big deal? So what?

Amway Wangsa Maju Shop 11-01-2010

As I walked out of the Wangsa Walk, I looked up at the sky…. it is cloudy and grey! A sign it will be raining any moment from now on. I walked to the car (that have parked on the open car park of NZ Curry House) I took the umbrella with me (just in case it will be rain) walked down the slope and goes to the Amway Shop.

In the shop, there are a few Amway distributors (IBOs) shopping in the shoppe that moment and I have decided to take a look at the backpack bag. One is red and the other blue in colour. Hmm…. RM 289! (Customer Price) Wow! Another RM 100 more than the one I saw at computer shop?

As I checked through the inside parts, it really satisfied my need & requirement. It have places for hand phone, coins, computer cords, wire, hard disc (& other accessories) magazine, folders, name cards, netbook computer, water tupperware etc….. but I did not make the decision to buy it. I walked out of the shop. While walking back to the car, I began to think…. if I buy it from the computer shop I only pay RM 180 but if I buy from Amway I need to pay RM 289… but wait a minute… this is customer price right? I am an Amway distributor myself…. I should get much cheaper distributor price.

If I buy from the computer shop….. I don’t have any bonus giving back to me (by the shop) but if I buy from Amway I will get distributor price + bonus refund woh! As I calculated in my mind…. after deducted the bonus…. it still came almost the same price with the one I can get from computer shop. So why let other earn if I can save it on my own? No logic right?

So I goes back to the Amway shop again. Finally I made up the decision….. that is I bought it from “my own shop” – The Amway Shop I told the Amway staff that I need a red colour one. Why I choose the red instead of blue? Well…. I found that the red look better on black colour or white shirt (my coat is black…. some of my T-shirts are white)

Of course I did not forget my favourite Premium Gold Nuggets Assortment (Milk Chocolate with Almonds, Milk Chocolate with Butter crunch, White Yogurt Chocolate with Raisins) – 250gm. Yummy! The best chocolate I ever tasted. RM 18.50 (Customer Price)

When I decided to make the payment, the Amway staff told me that the total just RM 200 something (not yet reached RM 300) I remembered that there is an “Order, Match & Get Instant REWARDS” contest for the month of January 2010 where the condition is:

When the payment have been made and the order form printed, I checked through the order number to see if it match any of these numbers. Opps I have 723 as last number! (Instead of 223) So I missed out the RM 50 Instant Cash! Not lucky day for me.

Any Starbucks At Wangsa Walk?

3:30PM I sent my car to the mechanic to have it checked just to see if there is any oil leak on the brake system as yesterday night I needed to refill it. The mechanic test drive the car and told me that the brakes have been getting a bit thinner and it still can be used for another 1000 KM or so just before I decide to replace it. These brakes must be exhausted during the time I came down from Genting Highlands last month.

Around 4:00 PM I went to Wangsa Walk to check if there is any Starbucks there but I did not find any. Though there are a few cafe and Kopitiam, I don’t know if their Wifi is fast enough if compare with Starbucks.

As I passed by one of the computer shop, I took a look at the price of the backpack bag. Hmmm… RM 180 + What is the price for the one sell by Amway Wangsa Maju Shop? I will check it out later.

A few Christmas decorations still available there just before it will be taken out for coming Chinese New Year. I decided to snap it to be uploaded here.

Someone SMS Me Again For Tina Number

12:16PM While blogging, I have received a SMS to request me to SMS (him or her) Tina Fong number. The SMS sounded like this.

“Hi Stephen. Can u give me Tina Fong contact number. Im read ur blog accidentally! I saw her, during Digi Events at KL, both of u take photo 2gether. Im her friend, I lost contact with her almost 2 years. I hope u can sms me her contact number. Sorry cos disturb u. Thx. Best regards ~ from Zhan Yan“

I have been thinking….. Is this person a guy or a girl? [I remembered last time there is a guy by name of Ben also SMS me for Tina number but I did not give him. ] The name from SMS sound like a girl. I decided to call the person to find out but after ringing for sometime nobody pick up. Then I called Tina Fong on her 018 number… No longer in service. 2nd called to her 016 number… Not in service. “Har? She changed her number already meh?” I said.

Then my mobile phone ringing. It is from the person I have called (the one who have requested for Tina number) It is a woman! She said she is Tina friend, from Tawau and have lost Tina number last 2 years and just came by my blogs accidentally and have saw the picture I have taken with Tina during “Switch To Digi Events” I told her that I have called up Tina on the 2 numbers (016 & 018) she have given to me before but not in service. Don’t know if she have changed her number or what.

Anyway I told her that I have Tina’s Facebook and will leave Tina a message so that she can contact her. She said thank you and hanged up. I logged in my Facebook and click on Tina’s profile only knew that she have flew to China and will be back to Malaysia next week. I left her a message (with Zhan Yan’s phone number) that her friend are looking for her and wish her to enjoy the trip.

Later I send a SMS to Zhan Yan together with Tina’s Facebook profile link so that she can add her. Well… I can say that I have did a good thing today. Who said my blogs did not serve a purpose? It can made people accidentally came here and found her lost friend! Ha! Ha! Good or not? You judge.

Latest Update:

After came back from Amway Shop Wangsa Maju (while updating my blogs – 6:17PM ) I received unexpected SMS all the way from China! Guess from who? It is from Tina! Her SMS:

“Hie, Tina here. Received your miss called b4. I am in China now. Kindly text me if u need any further assistant.“

The next thing I checked is her phone number. Just to see which one she is using. Oh!… It is the 016 one. (First I thought she have changed her phone number but she still using it!)

My replied:

“It about your Tawau friend Zhan Yan looking 4u. I have left her phone number on ur fb. When you back to m’sia, contact her la. How ur China trip? Take care ya! It’s cold over there. Muuacks!“

Wow! 1st time I send SMS to China. Ha! Ha! To some of you….. you might said “What the big deal?” Well.. maybe not for you but to me it is! As this is indeed the 1st time I have send SMS to China! That what made the big deal.
